UN FUTURING PEACE EXHIBITIONIST
PROJECT ZEAL

Designit was recognized for multiple entries of a speculative design competition with the UN. This entry was developed over 3 weeks with teammates: Pardis Shafafi, Sahar Ghaheri, and Raghavendra Kandala

The concept, Zeal, looks at a world where citizens directly participate in policymaking, a process that is traditionally biased and opaque to most people. Zeal envisions a future without a UN ambassador, with instead a collective of diverse and unique voices as a representative. The format of the submission was presented on a microsite in the format of an ‘onboarding’ experience to Zeal. The following are illustrations and storytelling elements for this speculative design concept.

NIMBLE,
INCLUSIVE,
BALANCED.

Peacebuilding can be lengthy and opaque — that’s why we’re here.

On Zeal, people work together in real-time to analyze conflicts and propose resolutions with the help of a mediator AI and a swarm voting system.

EVERYONE'S MEDIATOR

Meet Zee, the artificial mediator designed to look and behave with you in mind.
Zee can meet with you anywhere at anytime to understand your perspective and challenge bias by representing other points of view.
